Task
A client from Germany wanted a company in Ukraine but didn't want to deal with Ukrainian registers, forms and queues. His request was simple: you do everything, and I'll sign what's needed.
What had to be decided before filing
- the ownership structure and who would be director;
- the activity codes (KVED), so the company could work with the right clients;
- the tax system;
- articles fitted to the real business model rather than the model articles “for everyone”.
What we did
- Obtained a Ukrainian tax number for the foreign founder.
- Prepared translations of the documents and a power of attorney so the client didn't have to travel.
- Prepared the articles and the founder's decision.
- Filed for state registration and received the register extract.
Result
The company was registered. The client provided documents and signatures; we did the rest without him.
The takeaway
A foreigner can quite realistically open a company in Ukraine remotely if everything is prepared in advance. More: LLC registration in Lviv and business for foreigners.
